Tips for designing a website in Adobe Fireworks
Intro to designing a website design in Adobe Fireworks
Designing a new website design isn't as hard as some people think these days. It takes practice to make a great website design, and here are some tips to create your first layout in Adobe Fireworks. This article is for people who have working knowledge of Adobe Fireworks and are familiar with it's functions and most tools. Let's Begin 1.) Create a new canvas with the dimensions of 1024 x 768.
2.) Choose white as your new canvas colour.
3.) Choose a non cluttered but nice layout background and cover the entire canvas. I suggest using the square shape tool and filling it with a gradient.
4.) A website design is a mockup of what your final website is going to look like. So we are going to be adding the main parts of a site; Header, Navigation, Body Content, Footer. These will all be designed in fireworks.
5.) Simple is best. Don't try and be Pablo Picasso in fireworks. Start off simple using the most basic of design principles.
6.) Use rulers when you're creating your elements. They'll make it easier to splice up your layout when it's ready to be coded. Example
